"Designed for divers by divers" - this is the motto the Taveuni Dive Resort is proud of. Boasting the best Resort-to-Reef experiences on Taveuni, this sustainable resort is focused on providing comfort, service and being the best gateway to the authentic Taveuni adventure.
Taveuni Dive has been established for over 12 years. Listening to their guests they have built the first sustainable Dive resort on Taveuni. The Taveuni Dive Resort offers guests great accommodation, dining, and of course Scuba diving. Located in Taveuni Estates, not only means more privacy but is close to recreation and relaxation activities. The resort has been designed for future sustainably, is located near the marina making it short 15 minute boat ride to the reef, has a restaurant, bar, pool, and is suited beside the only golf course on Taveuni. Combine this with the comfortable, resort accommodation which compliments the beauty of the surrounds, it results in an experience as authentic as Taveuni itself.
Taveuni Dive Resort has its own dive operation, Taveuni Dive. Based in the resort it has four modern custom built LEEDA aluminium, self-bailers, thoughtfully designed for ruggedness and stability. Due to the location of the resort, Rainbow Reef is a 15-minute resort to reef experience. Rainbow Reef is renowned for beautiful coloured fish, rays, reef sharks, and turtles, soft and hard corals. This is due to the Somosomo Strait which has strong tidal currents, which in turn provides a constant flow of nutrients, idyllic for soft coral growth and diverse ecosystems. Fiji offers over 1198 fish species and more than 230 soft and hard corals. Taveuni Dive also visits the Great White Wall and Vuna Reef (please check schedule and diver demand). The Great White Wall derives its name from the ice coloured soft coral below 20m/66ft, which keeps on going.( This is a deep dive and only done on a slack tide, hence limited visits). Vuna reef is at the Southern end of Taveuni Island and is subject to currents which bring the larger Pelagic Fish in - Giant Tuna, schools of Maceral and in season Manta Rays (November to May). All sites rated as top dive sites in numerous dive magazines. Boats leave each morning between 08.00am - 09.00am and return around 12.30pm in the afternoon. Tanks, weights and refreshments are offered on each boat dive.
