M/V Solomons (PNG) Master

DAY 1

Arrive at Munda Airport (IATA code MUA), Solomon Islands, & meet your local driver who will transfer you to the vessel. If you are already in Rabaul make your own way to the Kokopo Resort, Rabaul. Meet your fellow divers and the crew. After a safety briefing, the boat will head off to its first destination. Dinner included. (Please note: this is a sample itinerary only as this itinerary is of an exploratory nature, so new dive sites will be found. The crew will find the best diving with location & dive sites subject to weather and diving conditions; with the safety of the divers and crew foremost; and that there is no guarantee to see any stated Discovery). (Transfer only valid on the day of embarkation).

DAY 2

You will have up to four dives (including a possible night dive if offered). Possible dive site: Munda- Shark Point, a 600 m wall which has Hammerhead & Silvertip Sharks cruise by; Airacobra, a recently discovered P39 fighter from WWII; Haipe, huge areas of hard coral with Manta Rays & Turtles - the only site where the bioluminescent turtles have been captured. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

DAY 3

You will have up to four dives (including a possible night dive if offered). Possible dive site: Gizo - Toa Maru, a 140m Japanese transport ship sitting at 7m then dropping down; Grand central, oceanic currents meet at this point which brings masses of fish schools to feed. Land visit: Fat Boys Bar one fo the best bars in the South Pacific, drinks & food to unwind after the day :). Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

DAY 4

You will have up to four dives (including a possible night dive if offered). Possible dive site: Tarro - Choiseul coastal sits & Exporaltory Diving. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

DAY 5

One day will be a customs vessel check. once entering Papua New Guinea. Land Visit - Bougainville Cultural experience with music & dancing at a local village. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

DAY 6

You will have up to four dives (including a possible night dive if offered). Possible dive site: St Georges Channel - found by Master Liveaboards last year offering get macro diving. Land visit: Beach BBQ with sunset - Dugongs & turtles known to paly in the shallows here. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

DAY 7

You will have up to four dives (including a possible night dive if offered). Possible dive site: Little Pigeon Island - an area full of colourful coral & fish life. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

DAY 8

You will have up to four dives (including a possible night dive if offered). Possible dive site: Lamassa - Kokopo, was a major base for the Japanese in WWII, with wrecks, planes & other vehicles scattered all over the place, awesome wreck diving! Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

DAY 9

You will have up to four dives (including a possible night dive if offered). Possible dive site: Rabaul - dive the volcanic caldera, coral, fish life all in abundance. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

DAY 10

As today is your last day you will have the up to two dives. Settle any accounts that you have. Farewell dinner. Possible sites: Rabaul. Breakfast, lunch & dinner included.

DAY 11

Disembark at the Kopopo Resort, Rabaul, New Britain, PNG, & meet your local driver who will transfer you to Rabaul Airport (IATA code RAB). If staying at a local hotel please make your own way. Breakfast included. Transfer included on the day of disembarkation only.
