Travel from The Solomon Islands to Papua New Guinea on this Expolarationary & Off the Beaten Path, dive Trip.
This 10-night, 11-day itinerary aboard the MV Solomon PNG Master will begin in Munda, the Solomon Islands & finish in Rabaul, Papua New Guinea.
With the Solomon Islands comprising of over 992 islands, of which only 147 are inhabited, & then crossing to Papua New Guinea, which has around 600 islands, you will find the natural beauty stunning. Peaceful & untouched.
The areas between these two island nations are largely unexplored. With diverse marine life from Manta Rays, Sharks & the bioluminescence Turtles (you may have seen it on the internet) to WWII wrecks not yet discovered, this is a very real exploration trip.

Several land excursions are available, this will depend on location & itinerary.
Accommodation based on two people sharing (twin or double cabin) or single use (at surcharge).

Dive equipment - Surface Marker Bouy, 12L aluminium dive tank (yoke valves), weights & weight belt - all other equipment is available for hire (except wetsuits).
Transfers to & from the airport to the departure marina, on the day of embarkation or disembarkation only.
Air-conditioned cabin with en-suite, towels, & linen.
All Master Fleet yachts provide their guests with a choice of international & local cuisine served in a buffet-style in the air-conditioned dining area. The vessel can cater to special dietary requirements (within reason), please inform on booking about your requirements, well in advance. Also, a selection of fresh fruit and some tasty treats are readily available, should you feel peckish in-between meal times.
A range of carbonated soft drinks, fruit juices, black, green and herbal teas are available at all times, as well as instant and freshly brewed coffee. Guests may also select beer, wine or spirits from the bar for an additional fee.
No Visas (responsibility of traveller)
Travel & Diving Insurance is for the traveller to organize before travel - Your diving insurance is mandatory & must cover all of your scuba diving & snorkelling activities, including the costs for recompression chamber treatment & emergency air evacuation,(must be shown on board).
PADI medical statement will need to be signed, any "yes" answers will need a medical certificate - any medical costs associated are to be covered by the traveller & should be done in your home country as there will not be a local dive doctor available + Master Liability release & express assumption of risk agreement, to be signed.
No International or domestic flights are included
All rental diving equipment is for hire, no inclusions - BCD, regulator with Occy & pressure gauge, mask, fins, snorkel, dive computer, underwater torch - pre-book possible when booking, payment on board. All Aqualung products - make and model will vary. NO Wetsuits available.
Any Extra Services which may include but not limited to: onboard calls, laundry, special services
Any Optional Activities which may include but not limited to: Dive Courses.
All alcohol is not included - local beer, wine, spirits & cocktails all at extra cost.
Marine Port & Park fees are paid directly on board (Called "Kastom Fees" which go to the local communities that are visited).

Satellite Internet/ Wifi is not available. (Please be aware that this area is remote & mobile roaming will be very limited).
Marine Park & Port Fees (Kastom Fees) - USD - 7 Nights itinerary's $175, 10 nights $250, per person, payable onboard. (C "Kastom Fees" go to the local communities that are visited).
All payment for extra services or optional activities is preferred in cash (USD, SBD, AUD), however, if by credit card (Mastercard or Visa) it will incur a 3% surcharge.

The Solomon Islands to Papua New Guinea Navigation
The yacht offers up to four dives per day including night dives. All dives are guided or with your own buddy. You can choose your own buddy on board or one will be allocated to you by the dive crew. Diving will be from the tender, Dive computers & Surface Marker Buoy's (SMB) are both mandatory. 12L (80 cubic ft.)tanks, SMB's, weight belts & weights are provided. Rental equipment is available onboard at an extra cost. All diving onboard should be within the limits and standards of the training agency that certified you. All dives should be planned no-decompression dives.
Water temperature will be in the comfortable 26C - 30C (78F to 85F) range. Even so, you may feel chilly after multiple dives per day, so bring suitable thermal protection. A 3mm or 5mm full wetsuit is recommended. Visibility is usually 25-40m (75-125ft) but can be less sometimes due to the influx of nutrient rich waters. Please note: NO wetsuits available for rent.
