ABOUT THIS LIVEABOARD

Manta Trust Cruise

Join The Junk and the Manta Trust on our special Manta Expedition itinerary exploring the very best diving in Thailand.

The Manta Trust is a UK & US-registered charity that coordinates global mobulid research & conservation efforts with the goal of a sustainable future for the oceans, where manta rays & their relatives thrive in healthy, diverse marine ecosystems.

As part of the mission to raise awareness and provide education on manta ray conservation, the Manta Trust has teamed up with The Junk to provide ‘Manta Expeditions’—a series of liveaboard dive trips that focus specifically on getting our guests in close proximity to manta rays, whilst imparting expert knowledge and skills.

Dive with JAMIE MONMANEERAT, the winner of Miss Scuba International 2012 & project leader of the Thailand Manta Project. With a maximum of 18 divers aboard The Junk, you are assured of personal service & uncrowded diving. This 10-night and 11-day itinerary will start in Phuket and travel to the Surin Islands, the Similan Islands, Koh Bon and further to Richelieu Rock, before returning back & visiting the Southern Anderman Sea. These areas are considered the best diving in Thailand & makes the top ten dive lists in the world. You can expect to see Manta Rays, beautiful soft purple corals at Richelieu Rock and many types of Pelagic Fish, with even a Whaleshark dropping in now and again. With experienced dive guides & no-decompression service, you will have a memorable trip.
