DAY 1

Arrive at Phuket Airport (IATA code HKT). Meet your free transfer at 15.30pm. It will take you to Chalong Pier, Phuket (International flights should arrive before 15.00hr as there is only one free transfer at 15.30pm. The transfer will take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic). The vessel will depart at 18.00pm. Once onboard meet your fellow divers & Jamie Monmaneerat from the Mantra Trust. Dinner included. (Free transfer valid only on day of embarkation).

DAY 2

Your first day of diving. Your guides & Jamie from the Manta Trust will discuss with you the schedule for the coming nine days. The focus is on Mantra Rays as you visit the Similan Islands & the area around Phi Phi Islands. Presentation & discussions on Manta Rays will be given over the course of the trip. Each day will have up to a maximum of 4 dives including a night dive. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

DAY 3

You will have up to a maximum of 4 dives including a night dive. Possible dive sites depending on weather, & diving conditions: Koh Phi Phi - There are many, many dive sites around the Phi Phi island group, many consisting of wall dives, the limestone dropping to depth ranges between 10m and 25m.; the walls can have gorgonian fans, soft corals, coral bushes & interesting rock formations & swim-throughs. At the base of these walls, there are often hard coral gardens to explore; expect a great amount of fish life, including lionfish, wrasse, Moorish idols, angelfish, rays, trevallies Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

DAY 4

You will have up to a maximum of 4 dives including a night dive. Possible dive sites depending on weather, & diving conditions: King Cruiser - a car ferry that used to travel between Phi Phi and Phuket. In 1997, ‘the cruiser’ hit Anemone Reef on her crossing & sank a short distance away. wreck dive! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

DAY 5

You will have up to a maximum of 4 dives including a night dive. Possible dive sites depending on weather, & diving conditions: Shark Point & Anemone Reef - these pinnacles are part of the same reef system & are only a very short distance apart from each other with both sites are covered with colourful soft corals & anemones with a variety of fish to suit all divers. From barracuda to seahorses.Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

DAY 6

You will have up to a maximum of 4 dives including a night dive. Possible dive sites depending on weather, & diving conditions: Moo Koh Haa (literally 'five island group') sits almost halfway between Hin Daeng & Phi Phi and is part of the Koh Lanta National Marine Park., with the highlights of Ko Haa Lagoon, Ko Haa Neua, & Ko Haa Yai. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

DAY 7

You will have up to a maximum of 4 dives including a night dive. Possible dive sites depending on weather, & diving conditions: Hin Daeng & Hin Muang - these two sites are pinnacles (translating directly as Red Rock and Purple Rock) in the open ocean, reaching down to over 70m, & are best known for manta ray & whale shark; on the pinnacles, there are fields of Magnificent Anemones, walls of Hemprics soft corals & huge gorgonian sea fans. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

DAY 8

You will have up to a maximum of 4 dives including a night dive. Possible dive sites depending on weather, & diving conditions Similan Islands - Boulder City, Sharkfin Reef, Anita's Reef and Three Trees. Under the surface, you may see Leopard (zebra) sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, clown triggerfish, rabbitfish, scorpionfish, snappers, emperor fish, giant trevally and angelfish. The coral gardens, bommies and boulder formations are wonderful to dive into. : Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

DAY 9

You will have up to a maximum of 4 dives including a night dive. Possible dive sites depending on weather, & diving conditions: Richelieu Rock - this limestone pinnacle was named by Jacques Cousteau after Cardinal Richelieu due to the similarity to the colour of his gown as there are gorgeous purple dendronephthya soft corals covering most of the pinnacle. . Barely breaking the surface at low tide, this horseshoe-shaped outcropping, slopes steeply to a sandy bottom at 18 to 35 meters (60-120 Ft). The marine life is prolific & includes pharaoh cuttlefish, large octopuses, all 5 varieties of anemonefish of the Andaman Sea, variety of moray eels, ornate ghost pipefish, smashing mantis shrimps, harlequin shrimps, tiger tail seahorses, Spanish mackerel, frogfish, many schooling snappers and occasional sightings of manta rays & whale sharks. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

DAY 10

Your last day of diving, which means, only up to 3 dives today, as we need to allow to off-gas. Enjoy the afternoon and relax as you sail back to the mainland. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

DAY 11

Disembarkation Day. Arrive Tap Lamu Pier, Khao Lak around 10 am. Please remember the 24-hour no-fly rule, the Junk recommends staying one night in local accommodation. Breakfast included. (Transfers to your Khao Lak hotel are included on the day of disembarkation only).
